There are three versions of this catalog being planned for publication in the fall of 2008.  The pre-publication discount subscription price indicated is the final payment and not a deposit. No further payment is due upon publication.

Subscribers also have access to a private website while the book is being produced, with images of all the covers that have been scanned or photographed. This site also has the archive of Subscribers Newsletters, with details and anecdotes about the designs as they are catalogued. It has the current database file of the collection for download by subscribers. There are also 19th century reference items that have been converted to PDF format.

Librarians use the information from each Newsletter to remove books from circulation and bring them to the Special Collections environment, saving them from further wear or loss. Curators, collectors and dealers use the flow of information to purchase the few remaining copies of books that are available.

At present there are 300 designs and variants that were not in the first collection. Many of these are hard to find in decent condition.

Please use the online ordering or subscription form below.

The Pre-Publication Subscription Prices below are valid through August 31, 2008.  On September 1, 2008 the prices will increase.  A pre-publication subscriber's price will not increase if the publication price increases thereafter.

You can also see samples of the Subscribers Newsletter and the Subscribers Website.

The catalog is available in three formats to complement the editions of the first volume.

1.Deluxe Edition limited to 25 signed and numbered copies with color photos of 300 designs that are not in the original volume, printed in archival high resolution inkjet, in a hardbound cloth binding by Richard Minsky, based on a cover design in this edition. This will be a different design than the first catalog, and will be in the 13" x 9.5" format. The CD-ROM is included in a separate plastic case, not mounted in the back cover as in the first volume.
Publication Price $1,200.00

2. Limited Edition with the same text as the Deluxe Edition, but in the slightly smaller 12" x 9" format, in a paper cover, an archival inkjet printed dust wrapper, and polyester protective overwrap. Edition of 100 signed and numbered copies.  The CD-ROM is included in a separate plastic case.
